Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic altered health care delivery for various dermatologic conditions; however, there is a paucity of data about hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). We investigated the COVID-19 experience of patients with HS during the pandemic. We performed retrospective chart reviews and telephone surveys of 90 patients seen at the Einstein/Montefiore HS Center between May and August 2020. Participants were mostly female (73.3%) with a mean age of 36.7 ± 13.7 years. The mean HS-Physician Global Assessment (HS-PGA) score, a marker of disease severity, was 2.48 ± 1.32.
