Abstract

Scars can manifest with cosmetic disfigurement, functional impairment, and discomfort which can be particularly impactful in children and adolescents. Laser therapy has been recently developed as a useful modality to improve both the appearance of scars and the functional status of patients. Our study aims to determine an association between ratings of blind evaluators and patient reported outcomes in pediatric scar patients pre- and post-treatment with combined pulsed dye laser (PDL) and fractional carbon dioxide (CO2) laser therapy.
