Abstract
The fatigue property of a honeycomb core sandwich panel (hereafter, HSP for brevity) has been studied in consideration of usage as a floor panel. In this study, it was attempted to study a effect of face sheet thickness on local fatigue of HSP as the floor panel for the sake of wide application. Obtained results were summarized as the follows ; 1) The stress state of face sheet on a contact surface with indenter (hereafter, upper face sheet for brevity) governed the fatigue life of HSP as the floor panel. 2) There was no effect of an another face sheet on the fatigue life. 3) A dent depth became less with the increase in the upper face sheet thickness. 4) The fracture pattern changed from a tensile type to a shearing type when the upper face sheet thickness was thick.
