Abstract

Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) is an innovative treatment option for ASD. Feasibility, efficacy, and induced neural change of tempo-parietal junction (TPJ) stimulation have not been studied in children and youth. Here, we present: 1) results of the adaption of an EEG paradigm assessing intention attribution, in order to establish event-related potential (ERP) markers of social cognitive functioning in children and youth with and without ASD; and 2) unpublished results of a TPJ-tDCS randomized controlled clinical trial (RCT) on these EEG markers.
