Abstract

In the measuring of moving or flying objects with high resolutions and fast sampling rates, wired data acquisition systems are hindered by physical constraints. To solve this problem, we design a wireless measurement system that has a single wireless data acquisition system with 24-bit ADC and multi ground data recorders. The measurement system uses both TCP and UDP protocols for improving performance in certain regards, such as instrument range and connection problems. In addition, the system is supported by error correcting code that protects the data from communication noise and other threats. However, the slow operating velocity of coding the error correcting code makes it hard to apply the error correction code to wireless measurement systems. In this paper, we propose a design strategy to implement fast convolutional code in order to enhance the accuracy and validity of UDP data networks that use 24-bit ADCs.
