Abstract

Opioid overdose (OD) deaths in 2020 were the highest ever recorded. The rise in OD deaths is thought to be driven by an increase of fentanyl in the drug supply and polysubstance use. We describe urine toxicology profiles, and regional differences in patients with untreated opioid use disorder (OUD) presenting to 26 US emergency departments (EDs).
