Abstract

While numerous investigators have described hesitancy to receive initial doses of COVID-19 vaccines, little is known about hesitancy to receive COVID-19 booster vaccines. Booster vaccines are critically important for vulnerable populations who are not only disproportionately impacted by the pandemic, but who also often use the emergency department (ED) as their primary source of health care. We sought to describe the prevalence of and reasons for booster vaccine hesitancy in vaccinated adult ED populations.
