Abstract

Based on the framework hypothesis, in psoriasis the entire epidermis can form lesions, however, the exact mechanism responsible for the initiation of the characteristic psoriatic symptoms is not fully understood. Since stress is a long known trigger factor of the disease, we aimed to study the expression of the annotated stress-related proteins in the uninvolved psoriatic skin using the protein array method. We identified differentially expressed cell stress-related proteins (DECSRPs) in psoriatic uninvolved skin compared to healthy skin.
