Abstract

To examine the changes in circulating progenitor cells following venous thrombosis and to identify which chemokines in thrombus and vein wall may be directly responsible for progenitor mobilisation. Secondly to assess whether bone marrow progenitors have an in vitro progenitor potential and if injection of these cells will enhance thrombus resolution in vivo.
