Abstract
Introduction: Corneal pregnancy represents about 1% of ectopic pregnancies. Risk factors include pelvic inflammatory disease, previous pelvic surgery, uterine abnormalities and the use of assisted reproduction techniques. In most cases, the diagnosis can be made by blood BhCG levels and transvaginal ultrasound. Laparoscopy has become the gold standard treatment for corneal pregnancies in recent years and has replaced laparotomic procedures. Objectives: to report a case of corneal pregnancy attended at a maternity hospital in the Western Amazon.
