Although the trigger of each initial onset or flare of pediatric acute-onset neuropsychiatric syndrome (PANS) is not known, infections frequently precede PANS flares and successful treatment of infection often resolves a flare or improves the clinical course of PANS. This presentation reviews expert consensus guidelines for the clinical management of infection in patients with PANS.
