Abstract
The D50 CIELAB gamut volume was standardized as a suitable and unified gamut size measurement methodology. The color gamut volume is visualized using proportionate gamut rings in a two‐dimensional diagram. Gamut ring intersection assists the visual comparison of the size and shape of the color gamut coverage between a display and a reference. This paper introduces a desktop application with an intuitive graphical interface for visualizing the gamut rings and describes the algorithm of the gamut ring intersection.
