Abstract
Editor's Note
The 22nd Postgraduate Research Presentation Program (PGRPP) is being held at Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences Srinagar (SKIMS) from 27th to 28th April. The program, started by SKIMS in the year 1998, serves as an important platform to all post-graduate doctors to present their research work, besides to learn the art of presenting scientific facts and defending them before a learned audience. A total of 103 abstracts from medical, surgical and other specialities are being presented this year in the program. It is, therefore, a matter of great pleasure that SKIMS is bringing up this issue of the Journal of Medical Sciences on the selected papers of 22nd PGRP Program. The organizing committee of PGRPP, led by Professor Nisar Ahmad Chowdry, has put great efforts in compiling and editing these abstracts at a very short notice. The editors of JMS would like to profusely thank the organizing committee for contributing to the January-July issue of the Journal of Medical Sciences with these abstracts. We hope that this compendium of selected papers of many stimulating and innovative papers from PGRPP-XXII will be appreciated, and will encourage the young authors to publish their research work as original papers in the Journal of Medical Sciences.
