Abstract
The title compound, C8H14O5, is a 1,4:3,6-dianhydro-d-fructose derivative. Its structure consists of two fused tetrahydrofuran rings with a cis ring junction, giving a V-shaped molecule with an angle between the two rings of 129.9°. Intermolecular O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds help stabilize the crystal structure.
