Abstract

Abstract Aim To evaluate compliance to British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH) guidelines for timing of review and surgical management of Flexor tendon injuries. Method Retrospective data collection over a period of (February 2021) for the first cycle, and (June 2021) for the second cycle through EPR and Galaxy soft wares. Results Time from injury to review by Plastic Surgery team: 100% of patients were reviewed within the national timeframe in both cycles. Time from injury to definitive surgical procedure: 86% compliance to national timeframe on both cycles. Conclusions Flexor tendon injuries require further prioritization for operative management. Increase theatre capacity to accommodate the need.
