Abstract

Micromechanics model of pizo-electric fiber reinforced composite is proposed for predicting the behavior of a material. As a periodical microstructure of the composite is assumed to apply a homogenization theory with asymptotic expansion, it is necessary for numerical analysis to make effective treatment of periodical boundary conditions in the microstructure. In finite element method, ICCG solver is applicable for a symmetric matrix and makes fast convergence on the iterative numerical calculation. To apply the ICCG solver for finite element analysis of the pizo-electric fiber composite, a technique is presented to maintain symmetry property of the matrix for treatment of periodic boundary condition.
