Abstract

This paper describes feasibility study of distributed control system for "Environmentally Compatible Propulsion System For Next-Generation Supersonic Transport (ESPR Project)". The control system possesses advanced control functions, such as performance seeking control, stall margin control, tip clearance control, etc., which can significantly improve fuel consumption rate, hence can suppress CO2 emission. Since the control system will be so complicated, the conventional FADEC (Full Authority Digital Electronic Control) system will not be able to handle those tasks. A distributed control system with smart sensors and actuators will be preferable to such a complicated control system. The result shows the proposed control system architecture and an example of smart sensor.
