Abstract

In order to obtain strong FRP/metal co-cured joints, dimple-treated joining method, in which small dimples are formed on the adhesive surface of metal so that resin of CFRP permeates into dimples and the strength of joints increases. In this paper, it is revealed that the tensile shear strength of dimple-treated joint depends on the pattern of dimples.
