Abstract
The title compound, C18H20N2O4, has been characterized structurally by 1H NMR and X-ray crystallography. The molecule is centrosymmetric. The two benzene rings are parallel to each other with a perpendicular interplanar spacing of ca 1.4 Å. Intramolecular O—H⋯N hydrogen bonds are formed between the oxime and hydroxy groups.
