Abstract

Cellulitis is a common skin infection presenting with expanding erythema, warmth, pain, and swelling of the affected area. While adult cellulitis is well-studied, there is a paucity of data on pediatric cellulitis and no objective tests to confirm a cellulitis diagnosis. There are also several diseases that clinically mimic cellulitis, known as pseudocellulitis. This study evaluates and compares the clinical presentation of inpatient pediatric pseudocellulitis to cellulitis to identify associated factors.
