Abstract

This paper describes the appearance frequency of bubbles observed in fluidized beds. Spectra of the change in sand concentration and wall pressure have been obtained in cases of experiments with sands. Dominant frequencies are observed for both measurements, and energy spectra decays with increase in the frequency. Experimental results with plastic balls and calculated results with a model based on the lattice gas automaton (the HPP model) show similar tendency with experimental ones with sands, which indicates the possibility of models of the flow in fluidized beds.
