Abstract
An effect of architecture of fiber reinforcement on the material damping of fiber reinforced plastics has been investigated. The vibration tests of CFRP beam specimen with various architecture of fiber reinforcement have been carried out in low-pressure condition in order to get rid of the effect of atmosphere. From these results, it is recognized that damping ratio depends on fiber volume fraction and architecture of fiber reinforcement.
