Abstract

The behavior of liquid in plastic film bags contained fluid subjected to impact loads due to dropping was investigated using a visualization technique. The bag contained about 100 to 700 ml of liquid. The liquid consisted of water and ethanol. Particles of about 3mm in diameter made of polyethylene were included in the liquid to visualize movement of liquid in the containers. The containers were subjected to impact due to dropping, and photographs of the containers were taken using a high speed camera. Results indicated that the bags have characteristic behavior of liquid in the bags.
