Abstract

Introduction: Infertility affects approximately 1 in 7 heterosexual couples in the UK, with 30% of cases attributed solely to male factor infertility. Surgical Sperm Retrieval (SSR) is a treatment method used to assist with conception for couples with azoospermic men. This audit aimed to retrospectively analyse the profile of male factor infertility patients undergoing SSR in a tertiary care centre over one year period. Methods: Retrospective data was collected for 29 heterosexual couples who visited the fertility clinic at Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital between October 2019 and October 2020.
