Abstract

Results: After CRT implantation, major indicators of prognosis: peak exercise cardiac power output (pCPO), oxygen consumption (pVO2), exercise duration (ExDur) and ventilatory efficiency (VE/VCO2 slope) were significantly improved (see Table). Cardiac pressure-generating capacity (systolic BP at peak exercise, pSBP), flow-generating capacity (peak cardiac output, pCO) and cardiac pumping reserve (CResrv) also increased significantly with CRT. A significant improvement was also seen in NYHA functional class (3.09+-0.3 to 2.554-0.69, P=0.03) and SF-36 score (44.83=t=18.17 to 69.83=t=10.57, P=0.03).
