Abstract

Latin American literature of the 21st century has expanded and enriched with young writers who have tried to escape from the influence of the Latin American Boom of the 20st century and establish their own literary territory corresponding to the sociocultural change of the 21st century. However, there has been little research on Latin American literature in the 21st century in Korea. For this reason, this work attempts to summarize the most recent literary trends in Latin American literature so that Korean scholars can dedicate themselves in depth to Latin American literature of the 21st century. Considering the breadth and diversity of Latin American literature of the 21st century, this work focuses, above all, on the literary movements of the first two decades of the 21st century, the appearance of the female Boom and its literary world, the writing of writers born in the time of the dictatorship and the most recent themes of Latin American literature.
