Abstract

This research aims at the learning from analysis of structure violin of a process for solving noise and vibration problems on machinery. Previous research has found the power input to the front plate through the bridge is in inverse proportional to the square root of frequency. This is same as theoretical infinite beam structure. It is hypothesized that nonlinearity causes similar phenomenon as infinite beam. We need to discuss impact modeling between bridge and front plate of violin. In order to discuss the modeling, two rigid mass connected with nonlinear spring is considered in this paper. Validity of our deduced model is examined with experiment result. As a result, the impact modeling is constructed in the Duffing's equation of nonlinear vibration system.
