Abstract

The thermoacoustic engine can convert heat energy into acoustic energy. To accumulate small acoustic power, Multi-cylinder type thermoacoustic engine was developed aligned. There has been produced the double thermoacoustic engines experimentally. Those engines consist of Multi-cylinder part that form a parallel cylinder and resonator part. An experiment was carried out to resonate with acoustic energy that double thermoacoustic engines generated. This study focused on resonator part and investigated performance of the resonance by the double thermoacoustic engines. As a result, the highest pressure amplitude was obtained when the resonator tube length L was 600 mm. Since those engines interacted with each other, the performance of the engine improved at double engines drive compared with single.
