Abstract
Multiple myeloma with spinal epidural compression has been treated with external beam radiosurgery with palliative intent. Although there has been a good clinical response, there is need for a durable tumor control and prompt neurological recovery as this may impact quality of life. Based on the accuracy of spinal stereotactic radiosurgery demonstrated in our institution, we extended the spinal radiosurgery to treat metastatic epidural compression. The purpose of this study is to determine tumor control by radiosurgery for epidural compression by multiple myeloma.
