Abstract
Computer-Aided Inspection (CAI) is one approach to implement Computer-Aided Quality Control (CAQC). In this research, a machine vision system and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software were integrated to develop a reverse engineering system. The system can generate both two and three dimensional (2D/3D) drawings during CAI process. The cause of engineering changes in manufacturing then can be traced by comparing the drawings with the standard specification of the parts.
