Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore the direction of the 2022 revised basic curriculum of art subject and to discover the methods of the utilization of the curriculum of art subject by interviewing the special education teachers on the characteristics, goals, content elements, achievement standards, teaching and learning methods, and evaluations in the basic curriculum of art subjects revised in 2015.
 Method: The Participants in this study who 8 special education teachers who had experience 5 years in applying the basic curriculum of art subject, conducted a focus group interview divided 2 groups.
 Results: As a result of this study, it was consistent with the general guideline of 2022 revised basic curriculum that can foster social integration and self-reliance in connection with the lives of disabled students subject to special education, rather than cultivating specific knowledge, skills, and attitudes limited to the art subject, it was proposed to accept art as part of life to promote the development of disabled students and help them participate and integrate into their surroundings through visual communication.
 Conclusion: Finally, the direction of curriculum development and follow-up research according to the characteristics of the art department were proposed.
