Abstract
Objectives This study aims to present a proposal for the application of media literacy education by considering the characteristics and curriculum characteristics of the 2022 revised curriculum, centering on the framework of the 2020 Evaluation Institute study, Application to the Curriculum. Methods This study analyzed prior research on the use of curriculum for digital media literacy education and analyzed the achievement standards and teaching and learning methods based on the content elements for digital media literacy education in elementary and middle school home economics-related content. Results Specific reflection standards were presented for home economics class activities, such as cultivating a critical perspective centered on media cases and utilizing media literacy capabilities to solve problems and practice them. Conclusions This study can provide guidelines to facilitate the application of the 2022 revised home economics curriculum in the field and contribute to the systematization of future curricular digital media literacy education.
