Abstract
Rick Miller visited the Middle East 24 November–2 December to give his keynote presentation, “Unraveling problems with near-surface geophysics: Groundwater, archaeology, geohazards, and engineering,” at the ICEG meeting in Al Ain, UAE, as his 2012 Near-surface Honorary Lecture in Doha, Qatar and Muscat, Oman. He also attended a technical committee meeting for an upcoming workshop in Bahrain on near-surface modeling and imaging.
