Abstract

Xingkai Lake is the largest boundary lake between China and Russia, and its water quality is closely related to cross-regional ecological security. In this paper, we collected the physical and chemical properties of water quality sampled in May and September at 10 monitoring sites of Xingkai Lake wetland ecosystem national observation and research station in Heilongjiang Province from 2011 to 2018. The dataset covers 4 physical parameters (water temperature, pH, conductivity and salinity) and 15 chemical parameters (sodium ion, total nitrogen, total phosphorus and chemical oxygen demand etc.). The data acquire through the collection, storage and transportation of samples as well as the subsequent laboratory analysis adhere rigorously to national standards and quality control systems. The dataset is expected to provide information on the dynamic processes of water quality in Xingkai Lake, and contribute basic data support for the study of the relationship between wetland hydrological processes and structure and function in Xingkai Lake, integrated watershed management, and ecological security of the China and Russia boundary lake.
