Abstract

The 29th Annual Convention of the Association for Radiologic & Imaging Nursing (ARIN) was held on March 14e17 in Tampa, FL, at the Marriott Waterside. This year’s convention theme was Achieving Success through Knowledge and Networking. The Imaging Nurse Review Course (formerly known as certification preparation) was presented on March 12e13 by master faculty Kathy Scheffer, MN, RN, CRN, and Ellen Lash, RN, C, CRN. The preconvention program was well attended with almost 50 participants, several of whom sat for the CRN exam at the end of the convention on March 17th. Chris Cavanaugh, BSN, RN, CRNI, presented the PICC Fundamentals workshop on Saturday, March 13. Physicians, advanced practice registered nurses, registered nurses, and radiology technologists spoke on an array of subjects, from patient safety in the IR setting to the ‘‘business’’ of IR and collaborative practice opportunities that encourage the IR service to be an identifiable option for the health care consumer. OnSunday,K. LynnWieck, PhD,RN, gave the opening address entitled ‘‘Keys to a Successful Workplace:
