Abstract

Results in the search of methyl bromide alternatives corresponding to year 2007 of Spain's Methyl Bromide Alternatives Project (INIA), are shown. As in previous years, two types of strawberry nursery field trials were carried out: experiments in randomized blocks with 4 replications, and demonstration plots greater than 1000 m 2 . The activities were carried out in four commercial nurseries sited in Castilla-Leon (Central-Northern part of Spain) using virtually impermeable film (VIF) and the cultivar 'Camarosa'. Weed control was evaluated during the growing season by estimating the number and fresh weight of weeds on five dates at three-week intervals, and runner plant production was also determined.
