Abstract

This thesis aims to probe into the following three points: First, to investigate the relationship between the “Rise of China” “Geo-economics.” Next, to analyze China’s economic exploitation of Taiwan. Last of all, to study the impact of China’s economic rise on Taiwan’s politics, economy society. The main focus is on “the rise of China's influence on Taiwan's national security,” while Geo-economics is used to collect the relevant factors during the rise of China on Taiwan’s economic strategy. In addition, a few statistic data, including China’s economic strategic decision for Taiwan, the international organizations, local organizations exchanges are gathered as well. By means of the comparison with Chinese English official documents, books, journals network resources, the material is thus examined through the approach of “document analysis” “comparative analysis.” This research, first of all, elaborates on the theory principle of Geo-economics then studies the economic strategy purpose of the “Rise of China” from a perspective of Geo-economics. Furthermore, China as a united front against Taiwan is explored with the three platforms of Haixi Economic Zone, cross-strait trade agreements (ECFA) and ASEAN plus one. At last, the three dimension of politics, economy society are used to analyze the impact on Taiwan. From the research, three results are achieved. In the first place, The “Rise of China” corresponds to the rise of Geo-economics. Secondly, During China’s rise of economy, it takes advantage of the Geo-economics’ impact on Taiwan to become Chinese Taiwan. Last but not least, Taiwan should make every effort to fulfill TPP’s Geo-economics.
