Abstract

This study examines the relationship between the fictional-documentary interactive form that emerges in Turkish political cinema since 2000, and the nature of the political content. The way in which the interactive form is used in political films and for what purpose and the relationship of this form to the political content is evaluated specifically regarding to the film Gelecek Uzun Surer (Alper, 2011). Role of “memory” as a concept, which is central in establishing the political background of the movie is discussed as well in the context of the relationship between form and content.
