Abstract

After 50 years of development, Abstract: Taekwondo has evolved from a local sport to an official Olympic competitive item, and popular taekwondo is also deeply loved and welcomed by young people and professionals. Taekwondo has gradually become one of the most successful sports industries in the Chinese fitness market, as well as an individual sports industry that has so far relied entirely on market forces to drive it. By referring to academic papers related to taekwondo in China and Korea, sports journals, Chinese taekwondo and other related literature contents, this paper analyzes the current situation of popular taekwondo under the conditions of sports industry and market economy, using research methods such as data collection and logical analysis. Further, this paper points out the restrictive factors and weak points of the development of Chinese popular taekwondo. This paper discusses the existing problems of Chinese popular taekwondo, and puts forward suggestions and directions on how to apply modern marketing theory to the healthy and sound development of popular taekwondo.
