Abstract

Sexual Health Education is variable within the United States; hence adolescent knowledge of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), and screening for STDs is suboptimal. Cell phone ownership and access to the Internet is high within this population; therefore, it seems logical to educate and communicate with teens via technology. In an inner city adolescent health center, we explored how youth access the Internet for sexual health education and their thoughts about using technology to connect with their health home.
