Abstract

AbstractThe spacing between and representation of characters, in particular Italic characters and characters with oblique lines such as A, V and W, on a CRT display can be drastically improved with a non‐square pixel grid. The horizontal addressable pixel density is thereby increased without increasing the number of scanned lines.
