Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the body proportions of 20s women, short women in the bottom 25% and top 25% and to identify features that distinguish them from standard body types by classifying body types. Among the data of the 7th human dimensions survey, 668 women aged 20-29 years were subject to the study. The analysis utilized the SPSS Ver. 26.0 program. The average height of the short group was 154.39cm, the average height of the median group was 160.91cm, and the average height of the tall group was 167.32cm. The body type factors were analyzed in six : horizontal, vertical, horizontal proportion, width, chest-related flattening, and vertical proportion factors. The body types were divided into four types: long, wide and round type, long, thin and flat type, short, thin and flat type, and short, thin and round type. Short groups had the highest proportion of Type 4, tall groups of Type 2, and median groups of Type 3. The vertical and horizontal proportions of the body according to height remained constant. As the height varies, the vertical and horizontal length ratios vary, so short and tall group clothing should be set differently from the standard body type.
