Abstract
This is a 70-year-old female patient with history of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus for about 10 years under regular medication controlled and lifestyle modifications. Her blood sugar level was well controlled before. But, she found her blood sugar level more than 200mg/dL in recent months. Then she came to Huwei Outpatient Center (Western medicine) for help, blood test showed AC sugar 202mg/dL, PC sugar 212mg/dL, HbA1C: 13.7%. One month later, there was no improvement after OHAs treatment, and she refused to use insulin injection therapy. So she was transferred to our clinic (Chinese medicine) for further evaluation and management, The blood sugar level was progressively improved after Integrated Chinese-western therapy.
