Abstract
Nanotechnology is the science, engineering, and technology conducted at the nanoscale. It is expected that nanoscience and nanotechnology may have a considerable impact in construction industry particularly in modifying the properties of concretes. Nanotechnology improves the understanding of concrete behavior. Nanotechnology in construction industry is at different stages of developments. Addition of nanomaterials in cement and concrete improves the properties and this aspect has been discussed in detail in this chapter.
