2'-OMe-Uridin-3'-yl (3',5')-5'-O-(2'-OMe-Cytidine)-methanephosphonothioates - new building blocks for synthesis of chimeric oligonucleotides

Abstract

The efficient one-pot synthesis and X-ray analysis of the molecular structure of the SLOW- eluting diastereomer of 5'-OH-2'-OMe-uridin-3'-yl (3',5')-5'-O-(N-isobutyryl 2'-OMe-cytidine) methanephosphonothioate is reported. The RP-absolute configuration of the P-chiral centre is unambiguously determined and structural parameters of the molecule are discussed.
