Abstract

Introduction - The primary goal of revascularization is not only to recanalize vessels to the foot, but also to obtain a better wound perfusion, and thus, better healing and limb salvage. A technology is needed which can determine periprocedurally whether a successful recanalization is sufficient to resolve rest pain or achieve wound healing, and thus have the ability to predict clinical outcome. 2-D Perfusion angiography is one such emerging technology that presents the physiological perfusion state as a colour-coded display, where different colours represent corresponding perfusion levels.
