Abstract

The X-ray diffraction structure of 2-anisyl-5-sulfonyldiphenylphosphine oxide is reported. The molecule presents two different types of strong covalent homonuclear charge-assisted hydrogen bonds, negative and positive, giving a monodimensional polymeric arrangement. Charges and electron density were calculated for the molecule conformation found by the X-ray diffraction studies.
