Abstract
Many studies have examined the effectiveness of de-escalation training in reducing the use of seclusion and restraint in adult inpatient psychiatry settings, but few have published their training materials or adapted these techniques to child and adolescent populations. This project applies de-escalation techniques to child and adolescent patients and creates a model curriculum accessible to residency and fellowship programs across the nation.
