Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the pattern of producing complex sentence KSL children. For the purpose, three KSL children were regularly contacted for 17 months in were analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively. The results of quantitative analysis showed that, in pattern of sentence extension, the embedding clause is more frequently used compared the coordinate clause in all the subjects and that, in frequency of complex sentence, the ‘V’ types were observed also in all the subjects. The results of analysis of characteristics in complex sentence by types showed that only ‘고’(and) was used in coordinate clause and that ‘-는 것’(something that) is most frequently used in noun clause. This study is significance in that, based on the chronological source, the syntactic development of KSL children was investigated in various angles.
