Abstract

Longitudinal relaxation rates are measured for 19F under proton-decoupled conditions where the correlation time is so slow that continuous proton irradiation causes loss of magnetization due to the negative nuclear Overhauser effect. Dynamic NOE measurements yield single exponential T 1 values that are the same as those determined by inversion-recovery measurements of 19F without proton-decoupling.
